Hi Jenni,

Here's the best advice I can give you in regards to learning to play the guitar. Find a guitar cord chart on the internet, they're easy to find through google. Then learn your basic cords G, C, and D. With these three cords, you can almost play anything, or at least get pretty close. Then just practice, practice, practice... practice until your fingers have calluses.

Yeah What he said, I looked on www.ultimate-guitar.com and looked for songs i knew, and practiced playing chords, so i would know if i was playing it right.
